Over the weekend, the World Igbo Congress held their Annual Convention 2016 in New York. The event which was held between the Hilton in Queens and the Obi Igbo Community Center was attended by several members of the organization and Igbo dignitaries from both Nigeria and around the United States. Among the special guests who featured at the Convention were: Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Chief Ike Ekwerenmadu; Anambra State Governor- Chief Willy Obiano, Senator Hope Uzodinma; His Royal Majesty Dr. Cletus Iromuanya and many others.
